WHERE has summer gone? I can’t believe it’s already the last day of August. But I can’t complain. It really has been a good one! I’ve been to so many events and parties this summer and some of them really stood out. So, I decided to do a little recap of one of my favorite parties of this summer!

In the middle of June we celebrated Moët Grand Day ’19 with a garden brunch at Mon Repos restaurant and a proper party in the evening. It was a day full of champagne, good food & good music!

It is an annual event but this year was a bit special because Moët & Chandon was celebrationg 150th anniversary of Moët Impérial. Now that’s a milestone!

First of all, many of you have asked me what camera I use and the truth is that 97% of my Instagram pictures are taken with iPhone X. I do have several professional cameras, I just don’t use them much. I really-really like iPhone’s camera & the pictures that are taken with it!

The applications that I’ll be talking about: VSCO, Facetune, LD (Lens Distortion) & Afterlight. I know that a lot of bloggers are using Lightroom but I prefer VSCO just because I’m used to it. Also, when it comes to posting on Instagram my favorite application is definitely UNUM. You can just drag your pictures around and see how your feed will look like. It is such a lifesaver if you’re a content creator.

If you are reading this post on a smartphone, I suggest you to click on the picture to see the difference of the filters and edits. Better yet, try reading it on your laptop.

So, without further ado, let’s start editing!

1. Chromatic filter w/ Facetune:

Such an easy way to create something different!

Edit51
Edit52

Facetune > Filters > Lens > Chromatic et voilà!

2. Teeth whitening w/ Facetune:

You like your picture, you like your edit but it doesn’t look clean enough. Try using Facetune’s “teeth whitening” tool on your yellowish white areas. It can make suuuch a big difference!

3. Highlights w/ VSCO:

I like a lot of details & background noise on my pictures, so I use VSCO “Highlights” to enhance that. Especially if there is a sunset/cloud-situation going on.

4. Grain w/ VSCO:

If there’s a lot of skin on my picture, I like to use “Grain” from VSCO. I just feel like it makes the picture complete + it adds this edgy feel to it!

5. Lens Distortion:

Sometimes you look at your picture and it’s good but it’s not great. There’s something missing. Try adding a flare to your picture and create a fake sunshine, sunset, rain or fog!

6. VSCO filters:

I know it is good for the aesthetics of your feed to use the same filter all the time. But I don’t do that. I usually click through all my favorite filters and will just see whatever looks the best. My favorite VSCO filters are: A4, A6, C8, J5 & U3.

7. Afterlight “Dusty” filters:

Have you seen those Instapictures with an awesome vintage look? Try “Dusty” filters from Afterlight & upgrade your Instagame immidiately!

8. Brilliance w/ iPhone:

Iphone’s own little miracle tool! If my picture is too dark or it has too many shadows or in general it’s not clear enough – this is what I use!

Photo > Edit > Light > Brilliance

I hope you learned something new. I’m still such a rookie when it comes to editing but I’m constantly googling and learning and watching Youtube videos to improve my skills. I suggest you to do the same!

I hope you guys liked it & we will talk again on Thursday because I have another blog post waiting for you!

10 reasons to visit Rotermann City

1. Pagarini – My latest discovery! The reason why I’m so obsessed with this place – their pretzels. MAJOR DROOOL! They put melted butter inside the pretzel. I kid you not, I go there at least twice a week because I just can’t get enough. If you haven’t tried them yet, I beg you to go for it!

Rotermanni10

2. Carmen Cafe – Cute coffee shop! They have a good selection of breakfast options, pastries and I really like the interior (especially on the 1st floor). Also, during summertime they have a terrace right on the street, so you can do some people watching while enjoying your coffee & croissant!

3. Reede – Such an awesome streetwear store! You can find there all the hip & trendy brands such as Vans, Alpha Industries, Dr. Martens, Adidas, Cheap Monday – to name a few. So, if you’re in the market for a new cool bomber jacket or a pair of Dr. Martens boots, make a visit!

Rotermanni11

4. RØST – The easiest way to find that place is by following the smell of cinnamon rolls. You just cannot miss this! It’s a very trendy cafe and for a reason – they have the best cinnamon rolls in town! My favorite sweet treat ever!

Rotermanni12

5. Stradivarius, Bershka – Very popular High Street Fashion stores! I don’t know about you guys but I never leave these stores empty handed. Today I was too busy to try anything on but I will go back to Stradivarius tomorrow to try on those chinos that I spotted! They have such a variety of colours & patterns to choose from!

Rotermanni15

6. Juustukuningad – You know that meme: “It has too much cheese on it! Said noone. EVER.” I can relate to that! This place definitely has the best selection of Dutch cheeses. My favorite is Le Petit Doruvael with truffels. Also I suggest you to try out their own mustard sauce with dill & honey, yum!

Rotermanni7

7. Tallinn Design House – If local design is something that you are interested in, this is THE place to visit! They have such a nice variety of Estonian fashion, cosmetics, furnishing and other bits & pieces!

Rotermanni13

8. Flamm – Very cozy wine bar with a selection of flatbreads! I usually go there to catch up with a friend over a glass of wine. It is perfect for that!

9. Pull – I’ve been there for dinner about 5-6 times and I have ZERO regrets! It is very busy, specially on weekends. So make sure to book a table. As it is created and owned by famous Estonian grill masters, be ready to enjoy one of the best BBQ experiences!

Rotermanni9

10. Instagram friendly – I think it is fair to say that Rotermann City is one of the most instagrammable areas in Tallinn. Being a blogger/influencer I have to fabricate new shooting spots all the time and Rotermann City is like a safety net – whenever I’m in a hurry or if I’m just out of ideas, this is the place where I end up!

LINDEX PINK COLLECTION 2017

lindexpink5

I’ve always felt that fall is the beginning of the year – new season, new collections, new ideas. Last Tuesday I attended Lindex Pink Collection 2017 party in Hotel Telegraaf and decided to give you a quick overview of the pieces & what this collection is all about.

lindexpink7

So, this collection consists of 18 pieces of homewear and lingerie in premium quality. The color range is so calming for the eye – white, gray, dusty pink and black. So feminine. They used silk, cashmere, velvet, lace & cotton which already says a lot about it. When I was younger I didn’t really care about the material as long as it looked good. But for couple of years now I’ve been that type of person who immidiately starts looking for the fabric label when I find something that I like. Who can relate?! 😄

Outfit details:

Blouse – Dry Lake (HERE)

Jeans – Lindex (HERE)

Hat – H&M (HERE)

What makes this collection so special is the fact that 10% of the sales price of every piece will be donated for cancer research. Beautiful pieces for a great cause. 🎀

MARBLEIZING

diy6

It’s been waaay toooo looong! But I have an excuse and it’s a decent one! Last week when I was watching “Keeping up with the Kardashians” my laptop just crashed. Maybe it was some kind of a sign that I shouldn’t be watching it, haha. As I was saying, my laptop just blacked out and decided not to work. It freaked me out because I’ve had it for like 1,5 years only and I’ve barely used it. Long story short – updates were undone. I kept postponing them and I got the result. So, pleaaaaase, learn from my mistake and always do them immidiately.

Let’s make a smooth change of topic, shall we? Lately I’ve been really into home decor and it’s fun because there’s so much to discover for me as I’ve never been interested in that field. That makes me look our home now in a totally different way ofcourse. I figured that new couch would be nice but new table would be just necessary. So until I’m hunting down that perfect couch and a table to compliment that couch, I decided to do something about it. I don’t even know if there is such verb in a dictionary but this is what I did – I marbleized my living room table.

diy4

There are so many tutorials all over the internet, so I’m not going to take credit for the idea. Also, I’m going to put it out here that I am not that crafty person who makes living cats out of wood. So keep in mind that this doesn’t need ANY kind of special skills. Oh, and this whole project cost me like €8 and just because my table is huuuge. For any normal size table it would be €4-5 max.

I also made a little time-lapse video of me marbleizing. (CLICK HERE)

Here is what you need for this instagram perfect table:

✔️ Marble-printed contact paper (I got mine from K-Rauta – HERE)

✔️ Scissors

✔️ Credit card/membership card

Step 1: Clean the surface of your table/stool and make sure it’s as smooth as it can get. This prevents appearing of the bubbles.

Step 2: Start applying your contact paper. Slowly, carefully, precisely. Use a plastic card to get rid of the bubbles.

Step 3: VOILÀ! YOU’RE DONE! That’s how easy it was!

Mine turned out like this:

Hope you enjoyed it!
