ATLANTIC ROAD TRIP ’17

You guuuuuuys! I’ve missed you! Summer is over and I’m so ready to get back on track with my blog posts. Most of you who follow me on Instagram know that a month ago Tim and I went on a road trip. But it was no ordinary road trip – it was THE ATLANTIC ROAD TRIP ’17. And it was epic!

So, what is it? Car lovers and enthusiasts come together with their sports cars and supercars to go on a road trip together from Copenhagen, through Norway to Stockholm. Within 5 days. More information HERE and HERE!

If you know me well, you know that I’m not the wisest person when it comes to cars. God knows I’ve mixed up Lamborghini to Ferrari and to this very day I still get heat for that, haha. But I do like fast cars, road trips, meeting new people and discovering new countries – and this is exactly what this trip was all about!

FYI, all the pictures were taken with iphone 7.

And so it began…

Obviously I don’t know what “travel light” means. Checking out from Hotel Skt Petri and getting ready for the START in Copenhagen. Click HERE and HERE to see how it actually was!

For the sake of this post – this is Aston Martin Vantage V8

My man! Decorating his name with an Estonian flag. 😄

On our way to Larvik! Ferry rides have a significant role when driving through Norway.

Isn’t this the most breathtaking view?

JUST AMAZING!

I’ve always wanted to go to Norway! FINALLY I can check it off my bucket list.

Ice cream break. 🍦

After a night in Rosendahl our next stop should have been Valldal but instead we took a little detour. The reason was that we started having issues with our brakes. Nothing major but as the roads & curves are no joke in that area, we decided to head out to Oslo to get them checked immidiately.

That Mexican place in Oslo was AWESOME! It’s called “Taqueria.”

A bit of eating, shopping, wandering

Breakfast in Cafe Pascal, Stockholm. Delissshhh! This table situation is so me. 👆🏼 Grabbing a newspaper for unsolved Sudokus whenever in sight.

Major matcha lemonade cravings while writing this. 👅 Also picked up some bits & bobs from Sephora. Have you guys tried any of these? Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz has been my go-to for years & years. I always stock up when possible.

… and finally it was time for a proper closing party at Mister French!

To sum up:

Golden confetti overdose. Min speed 165 km/h. About million dropped pins. Cute & fluffy sheep everywhere. Too many lost driver’s licenses. Way too many fines. If Norway wasn’t wealthy before, it is now. A lot of “exotic” pictures/videos in our chat. The amount of Louis Vuitton carry-ons. Dude. MAJOR CAR GOALS. And finally & most importantly – ART ’17 fam. It wouldn’t have been what it was without you awesome peeps! ❤️

See you all next year!

LET’S TALK CHANEL BABY

Couple weeks ago we went to Helsinki. Initially I needed to go and get my phone case from LV. Back in May I sent it to France for maintenance and for some reason I hadn’t had a chance to go and pick it up earlier. The weather was perfect for shopping anyhow (non-stop rain & storm), so I decided to do some damage.

BEST MANICURE TRICK I’VE LEARNED

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

I love the look of clean and beautifully manicured hands. But waiting for your nail polish to dry is as bad as waiting for food in a restaurant – frustrating & frustrating. At least for me. And that’s the reason I hate doing my nails. Correction: *used to hate.

Yes, I could go and get them done professionally but I don’t want to. Women. Go figure, haha. No, actually I used to get them done for like 6 years in a row. But I hated the fact that I couldn’t get them fixed immidiately when something happened in-between the appointments.

But I found a solution for homemade mani-pedi, yay! Last year when I was in LA, we went to this crazy huge Target and then it happened – I finally found Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat. It’s one of those products that Pinterest made me buy. Within minutes you can already touch your nails and see how well it works. I tried so many similar products in the past and none of them did what they had to. This is how it’s described to work:

“Its patented formula allows it to penetrate through the nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate. Apply thickly, get a nice bead on the end of the brush, then set softly down on the first nail painted and watch how Seche Vite flows over the wet nail polish without dragging or streaking.”

Recently I ran out of my first bottle and I’ve already purchased a new one. I ordered it from amazon (HERE).

I also wanted to mention L’oreal Nail Lacquers just because they were such a pleasant surprise. I usually go for Zoya, Ciate or OPI but these are as good if not even better! I’m impressed! You can basically get away with one layer because they are so pigmented. I also love that they have wide brushes – it makes the application process so much easier. My manicure routine usually goes like this: base coat, 2 coats of nail polish, Seche Vite top coat. With this formula my manicure lasts for 5-6 days.

I hope it helped someone who struggles with the same issue!

SNAPSHOTS FROM RIGA

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

Last Thursday we went to Riga to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthday. I think the last time I was there was about 2 years ago?! It’s been a while. When we started our little voyage the weather was very gray and a little rainy even. I was quite freaked out because I had packed only one semi-warm jacket with me. But the closer we got to Riga, the warmer it got. We ended-up having beach weather the whole weekend. Yay!

This is actually my hangry face. Sneaky. 👆🏽👀

On Friday morning we went to Index cafe for breakfast. It’s 5-min walk from Radisson Blu Conference & Spa. I ordered cottage cheese pancakes w/ sour cream & jam. DROOL. After that we drove to Jurmala and basically spent the day there. Ofcourse we couldn’t stay away from shopping malls that were on our trajectory. So little pit-stops here and there were a must.

Picked up a little treat for the evening. 🖤

…and here it is – a dress from Sandro! [HERE] I was pleasently surprised to see Sandro and Maje stores in Riga. [Shopping mall Spice] I always end up leaving these stores with a little sumthin’-sumthin’.

It’s actually a simple black dress but the thing is I usually don’t go for that deep cut. That’s why I decided to keep everything else as minimal as possible. I paired it with LV Silver Light Sandals [HERE], Saint Laurent Classic Kate bag and red lips. Oh, and the biggest accessory of the picture – cotton candy sunset.

For our last breakfast in Riga I found the cutest little cafe – Mr.Fox! It’s also very close to Radisson Blu Conference & Spa. First of all, I loved the interior! Obviously! I’ve been obsessed with banana leaf print since Dolce & Gabbana came out with it couple years ago. It gives such an instagram-cafe type of look to this place. 😄 And their food was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! Such a wide (& healthy) selection – smoothie bowls, avocado toasts, buckwheat waffles, porridge, oat pancakes etc, etc. If you’re in the area definitely check it out!

ISLAND LIFE

v11

Heeeeey! Did you miss me? Because I missed you! ❤️

Somewhere in June I went to Visby, Gotland with my family. I decided not to make a post immidiately as I had made one just recently. But now I think it’s about time to share what I captured!

We were so lucky to have a sunny day meanwhile it was raining heavily in Tallinn. Tim (my bf) was rather busy in the morning, so my mom, my sister and I decided to head out to the city and find a place to eat breakfast. I knew exactly where I wanted to go (Josbaren) but unfortunately the season hadn’t started yet, quite many places were still closed. So for brekkie we picked this cute little cafe named Ka:feit. Lovvved the interior! Food was alright.

All full and good to go we started our old town stroll. Basically it consisted of taking pictures with every rose bush on that island, passing by local shops, eating ice cream and laughing until it hurt. My mom, my sister and I have a very close relationship. It’s always such a blast with these two! We have so many inside jokes that we are 24/7 laughing when together. So if you were on the island at the same time and heard some people being really loud – probably us, SORRY. 😄

If you go to the island with Tallink’s charter cruise then you’ve got 8 hours to wander around. It seems like a long time but it goes so fast! For dinner we decided to go for seafood. Last year we wanted to have dinner in this seafood restaurant called Bakfickan but it was fully booked. But not this time! We were able to get a table and it was totally worth the wait! Fresh seafood heaven!

On our way back to the ship we passed by an ice cream factory (which is a MUST!) and treated ourselves with a little dessert.
